Building a Mission-driven Brand Marketing and Fundraising Plan

Conceptual case study

During the COVID-19 pandemic, essential workers were disproportionately affected, often lacking recognition, policy support, and professional community networks.

To address this, my team designed a prototype platform aimed at supporting essential workers across industries such as retail, healthcare, trades, and childcare. 

The platform connects colleagues, shares policy updates and industry news, and provides motivational content and daily encouragement to foster community and support. 

Contribution:

I conducted industry research to identify major gaps in worker support and designed a prototype app with Figma to visualize potential solutions. Collaborating with peers, I refined the marketing and fundraising approach, ultimately delivering a plan that combined research, strategy, and design. 

​Reflections:

Throughout this project, I strengthened my ability to translate insights into actionable digital solutions and gained hands-on experience in industry analysis and prototype design for mission-driven initiatives.

Conceptual App Design

VOTIN24: A Civic Engagement Pre-registration Campaign for Youth Voters

Role: Research Lead​

 

Conceptual Multimedia Campaign– 

Concept: Creating campaign festival, membership box, brand partnerships, social-first creative rollouts

The project aimed to increase youth participation in politics by encouraging pre-registration among 16-17-year olds in battleground states with early registration laws, such as Florida and North Carolina. 

Contribution:​​

I conducted research to uncover insights that guided campaign direction and social media creatives. By analyzed data from articles and reports, I identified patterns in youth voting behavior and emerging election trends, which helped shape the campaign's messaging and overall social media strategy.

Reflections:

We delivered a conceptual campaign package focused on increasing voter turnout, grounded in real-world data and a social-first approach. Through this project, I gained hands-on experience applying research and trend analysis to campaign design and learned how to frame mission-driven strategies for real-world scenarios like the U.S. elections.
